1/1/2010 — HM Product Solutions buys former Dorner building

HM Product Solutions’ growth in the past three years prompted the Brookfield company to buy its own building in Hartland for $2.3 million. The acquisition of the 45,000-square-foot building at 581 S. Industrial Drive includes 3 acres that can be used for future growth. The building formerly was owned and occupied by Dorner Manufacturing, which moved into a new 140,000-square-foot facility at 975 Cottonwood Ave., Hartland, in 2008. HM Product Solutions was founded in 2001 by Heather Maynor, who manages the firm with her husband, Rob Maynor. The company packages and distributes products worldwide for more than two dozen clients. The company also can assemble and store products for clients. Prior to buying the Hartland facility, the Maynors considered constructing a building in Sussex, said Stephen Provancher, a broker and principal at MLG Commercial, Brookfield, who represented the Maynors in the transaction. Even with the recent reduction in construction costs, the Maynors realized they could not beat the roughly $50-per-square-foot price of the former Dorner building, said Provancher. “A year or two ago, this building would have sold for $60 per foot,” Provancher said. Unfortunately for the seller, the building came on the market after the market peaked in 2008. Dorner Manufacturing was represented in the transaction by David Buckley and Kurt Van Dyke with Colliers Barry Milwaukee.

12/11/2006 — Warehouse Expansion Continues for 2007

HM Product Solutions, Ltd. expands warehouse facilities in Brookfield for the third year in a row to handle additional storage and distribution requirements. The new facility is attached to the current facility and features approximately 8000 square feet of climate controlled warehouse space and additional office suites.
